The I Ching (Book of Changes) is an ancient Chinese divination text, possibly over 3,000 years old, used for guidance and decision-making through a system of 64 hexagrams made of yin (broken) and yang (solid) lines. The I Ching reflects the Taoist concept of constant flux and the cyclical nature of life, emphasizing harmony with natural laws and wise adaptation to change. While initially a divination manual from the Western Zhou period, it evolved into a major philosophical text incorporating commentaries like the Ten Wings, becoming a cornerstone of Chinese thought and influencing Eastern and Western philosophy. It's a form of cleromancy (casting a 'lot' of items such as coins or dice).

I use coins. I-Ching readings are $150 and take 75 minutes to read. Understand half the time is performing the ritual to receive the answer which changes.
